OPEN-SOURCE ELEARNING HOSTING
What Is Moodle?
Moodle is a free, open-source learning management system built with PHP. Teachers and trainers use it to create courses, share lessons and files, run quizzes and assignments, track grades, and keep learners talking through forums and messaging. Martin Dougiamas released the first version in 2002, and Moodle has grown into one of the most widely used learning platforms in the world, with language packs for more than 100 languages.
Moodle works for K-12 classrooms, colleges, corporate training, staff onboarding, and continuing education. You can add plugins for attendance, certificates, and video classes, and your learners can follow along from the free Moodle app on their phones.

Why Choose HostPapa for Moodle Hosting?
HostPapa gives you everything you need to run Moodle in one place. Our Web Hosting plans include current PHP versions, MySQL databases, cPanel, and access to 400+ one-click apps through Softaculous, so you can install Moodle without creating databases or uploading files by hand. Every plan includes a FREE SSL certificate to protect student logins and grades, and NVMe storage keeps course pages and quiz results loading fast.
Moodle relies on a background task called cron to send forum digests, process assignments, and run course backups, and Moodle recommends running it every minute. Our shared plans allow a cron job every 10 to 30 minutes, depending on your plan, which is fine for a single class or a pilot course. For a school, department, or company training program with hundreds of active learners, our VPS Hosting gives you full control over cron timing, dedicated RAM, and room for large course files. Larger institutions can step up to a Dedicated Server.
Already running Moodle with another host? We offer FREE website and domain migration, so our team can help move your courses and data over to HostPapa.
