BILINGUAL CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST

We are currently seeking a talented, energetic and gifted Bilingual Customer Support Specialist to join our expanding Help Desk and Call Centre Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt, effective and courteous first level technical support to existing and potential clients via email, phone, and live chat services.
  • Provide sales information including pricing, plan, and upgrade options.
  • Use troubleshooting skills to assist clients with technical issues involving email configurations, domain registrations/transfers, and other aspects of web-related issues, including web hosting setup, scripts, ecommerce, etc.
  • Input support/customer-related information into tracking software in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Regularly document support-related material (eg. Support FAQs) as required.
  • Assist the systems engineers in the support of our servers and data center facilities.

Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in English and French (written, verbal and comprehension).
  • 1-3 years experience in a front line, 24/7 customer service/help desk/call centre role, preferably with a strong sales-oriented background.
  • Excellent email and phone etiquette, with the ability to answer sales-related questions and resolve technical issues relating to hosting services.
  • Reliable, motivated, ability to multi-task, enthusiastic, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • 1-3 years experience designing web sites and/or supporting email/web hosting services.
  • A willingness to work shifts outside of regular business hours (weekend, day, evening, and midnight shifts will be required). Please explicitly state that you are available to work shifts outside of regular business hours on your application.

Technical Skills Requirements:

  • Understanding of the web hosting industry and how it operates.
  • Basic familiarity with setting up POP clients (MS Outlook, Eudora, etc.).
  • Hands-on knowledge of internet applications, including web browsers, email clients, ftp clients, and web design tools (eg. FrontPage, Dreamweaver).
  • Some knowledge of how to work with e-commerce shopping carts, blogs, mySQL databases, CGI/Perl scripts, and PHP scripts.
  • Familiarity with domain registrations/transfers.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Linux Web Hosting Servers is an asset, especially running on cPanel-based control panels.
  • A knowledge and understanding of programming in web-based technologies (i.e. .net, php/mysql, java, etc.) is also an asset.
